Summer is here!

Pride Month Recs

Sharing is caring

Truth time. Last newsletter edition I was really frustrated. I felt like recently I hadn’t achieved one of my core reasons for even having my newsletter, and that’s sharing about ways to help in the bookish community or ways the bookish community is helping in general.

I’m really, really happy with this edition, though, because there are so many ways you can help just by reading! Even better, so many of these are specifically recommendations for Pride Month. If you can’t get to them in June, it’s still fine, because you can read and support LGBTQIA+ authors and causes year round!

Rage Is My Love Language

Yes, I shared about the anthology I’m a part of last edition, and yes I’m sharing again. As of yesterday, RIMLL is in arc reader hands, and I can’t wait to hear what they think of this collection!

Aside from the fourteen short stories you can find inside, recently a poet has joined the line up, so you have even more to look forward to! All proceeds support The Trevor Project AND paperback copies will be available!

We Shall Rise

We Shall Rise is a two volume anthology that includes over 100 authors! Volume one proceeds will support The Center for Reproductive Rights, while volume two proceeds will support The Trevor Project! You can preorder each for $4.99. Coming June 1st!

Rae Stone is one author contributing to the anthology. Their short story, The Trust, is included in volume two. It’s a continuation of their book The Chance, featuring Mac and Jordan, which is available now on Kindle Unlimited and Amazon.

Free books anyone?

Earlier this year I shared that When Sparks Fly has been nominated for two Indieverse Awards! As a way to give more readers access to these fabulous books, we’re offering them for free on Fridays this summer.

First up are books in the genres of Dystopian, Sci-Fi, and Fantasy! You can head over to https://www.indieverseawards.com/freebie-fridays to keep track of what books are free and when. Make sure to grab them while you can!

One you want at the top of your list is Stacey LP’s Afterglow: Rising from the Ashes! It’s the first in her trilogy and book two, Afterglow: Defiance Ignited comes out in June. So, so good!

When Sparks Fly will be included in the freebies next week, along with books in the genres of Romance, Contemporary Fiction, Historical Fiction, and Young Adult.

Let’s take a trip to Ireland…

…with a summer read by Theresa Christine! The Half of It is a spicy slow-burn romance, set in the small town of Ballygra, Ireland.

Happy belated release!

The Way We Fell, book two of four in S. Sidney’s Love at First Flight series recently released! It’s a forbidden grumpy meets sunshine romance.

Katy Keller wants to fall in love. Thirty-two and single, she’s watched happily ever after happen for one of her best friends, and now she’s ready for her own romance novel-worthy shot at forever. If only she can find herself a man who epitomises book boyfriend energy (bonus points if he can fill out a pair of Wranglers).

Enter Jay Bevan: an army vet with a closed-off heart. There are things Jay has seen and done in his career that he’ll never be able to forget. The other thing he can’t forget? Katy’s golden hair, deep brown eyes and pretty smile. One look is all it takes for Jay to fall hard, but Katy Keller is strictly off-limits. Because she’s his sister’s best friend, and that’s something that is terribly, horribly, and completely forbidden.

Is Jay just a fling, or is Katy prepared to betray her best friend’s trust for a shot at forever?

Ok, you should have plenty to keep you reading for a bit! Make sure to grab When Sparks Fly on June 6th as freebie!

Quick reminder, I’ll be releasing my title for my Garden of Desires collaboration book next week, and the cover and blurb for A Penny For Your Thoughts are coming on the 11th! So much to look forward to!

XOXO, Amanda
