Happy to be home

I never expected to be so happy to be back in Texas! When I was younger, I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. Then I moved to Georgia after high school for a few years. I couldn’t wait to get home. When another move became a possibility a few years later, it was a hard sale on my husband’s part because the idea of leaving again - even though it’s ridiculously hot - was a no go. But we did.

And then we moved to Florida. We knew Florida wasn’t the end for us, but Texas really wasn’t on the radar as we considered what came next. Our biggest reason for coming home was family. Ultimately the health of various members, along with aging parents, meant that it was time to be closer than a twelve hour car ride with four kids.

And yet, the moment we were a stone’s throw from our new place, everything seemed right. Sure a lot has changed, but there’s a comfort in coming home. At least for us. We’re excited to revisit old stomping grounds and build new memories.

Now, if I can just get my office in order!

Human Voices Only

You may or may not be aware of a new program being offered to authors as an avenue to create audiobooks using AI voice. Generative AI is theft. I feel strongly about this. Not only does artwork get stolen and fed into these systems to create other images, the same is happening with writing. My own book - When Sparks Fly - among so many others’, was pirated to train META’s AI program. Now, the same is being done with audiobooks.

Please know that I will never willingly feed my work into these programs. Further, there is a clause in my books that prohibits anyone else from doing this with my work either.

I strongly support real people creating real art. Artists who illustrate, narrators and voice actors who create audio, and authors who spend countless hours selecting just the right words to tell their stories.

So I’m participating in Human Voices Only. My lovely editor, Megan Carver, is also an audiobook narrator and like many others has offered to voice samples of authors’ books as part of a stand against virtual voice. She also offers guidance on Kickstarter campaigns for those looking to fund audiobook projects.

Happy Release, Lauren!

Lauren Kiser’s new book, Cherished Lands, is available now on Kindle Unlimited, Kindle ebook, and Amazon paperback!

A fake marriage. A real spark. A love as forbidden as cider in wine country.
ELLIOT

I've got one shot at saving my family's orchard: opening a cidery before money runs out. The last person I need investing is Tessa Belmonte—my lifelong rival and the biggest thorn in my side. But when her father threatens legal action that could destroy everything, there's only one solution. Marriage. To Tessa. For one year.

It's supposed to be just business. I'm supposed to hate the spoiled princess of Vintage Point Vineyards who's been driving me crazy for years. Instead, I'm discovering a fierce, passionate woman who works harder than anyone I know and fits into my life like she was always meant to be there. And the way she melts under my touch? That's definitely not part of our business arrangement.

TESSA

I thought investing in Ever Eden Orchard would finally give me the independence I craved. I didn't expect my father to sue me, and I definitely didn't expect marriage to Elliot Everton to be the solution. He's infuriating, commanding, and has a protective streak that sets my blood on fire.

But as we race to open the cidery before my father can stop us, our fake marriage starts feeling dangerously real. Between small town gossip, family betrayals, and our own stubborn hearts, we're both risking everything. Now I have to decide: do I protect my family's legacy, or fight for the future I never knew I wanted—with the man I never knew I needed?

Cherished Lands is the second interconnected standalone in the Sable Point series with a guaranteed HEA.

Reminders & Updates

My content team currently has an open application! While the information says we need you to create your own graphics, more often than not, my lovely PA Chloe has a ton of graphics to choose from. We do lots of collaborations and give weekly prompts. Plus there are monthly giveaways! You must have read The Fallout Duet to be considered!

I’m also looking to add readers for additional roles to my team! The application for alpha and beta readers is open. Unlike the A-Team, readers do not need to have read my previous releases. While several have, because these works are meant to stand on their own, I’d love to have feedback from readers who haven’t read the duet yet, to see if there are plot details to adjust.

New events are coming! Be on the lookout for preorder options for these upcoming events. The virtual event will be a live signing with me, after which I will mail the books to you. Others will be in person! I can’t wait to meet you! More details to come.

XOXO, Amanda
