It's Fall Y'all!

Hello, again!
Fall is my favorite. I am LOVING these cooler temperatures. I mean, it’s still Texas and the afternoons are frequently as hot as normal, but the breezy mornings that are more mild are SO welcomed. And if you’ve read When Sparks Fly, you know autumn is Maci’s favorite, too! We have that and our love of coffee in common.
I have several books to spotlight for you this week, but first a quick writing update!
Writing Updates
I took a short break from writing my multiples WIPs— for my brain and to look at some issues I could feel forming in the first. I’ve scrapped a large part of it but I feel better about where it’s going. I’ve learned so much about my own process that as much as I dislike plotting and planning, I’ve found it makes things so much faster on the back end.
I’m loosely planning on releasing Falcons MC 1 in winter 2026. If I’m REALLY good, Bull Creek 2 will come out shortly after, so let’s hope the creativity and words continue flowing!
If you’re wondering what to expect, here’s what I can tell you so far. If you’ve read The Fallout Duet, and/or A Penny For Your Thoughts, then you’ve met both MCs in Bull Creek 2, as well as the MMC in Falcons MC 1. I’m setting a goal of reaching 30,000 words in Falcons MC 1 and then I think I’ll release the title— assuming I can title it by then, because let’s face it that’s as hard as the blurb!
I’m also working on A Love Not Forgotten, my book in the Garden of Desires collaboration. This book is set in a completely different town than the rest of my books so far, with brand new characters. I foresee it being a standalone. Tropes and publishing date on that will be released soon!

Did you miss my Instagram Live with Elora Maxwell?
Fellow author, Elora Maxwell and I got together last week to chat all things Indieverse and writing. Her books Where the Wildflower Lay is nominated for multiple Indieverse awards, alongside my book When Sparks Fly, although they are not in similar categories. The whole video is available for you to view now, in case you missed it! You can also head over to indieverseawards.com to check out all of the nominees and events going on. Voting takes place in November!
Coming soon!
In just a few short weeks, S. Von’s spicy fae romantasy Hearts Burn Slow will be releasing. There is still time to preorder here! And how gorgeous is that cover??

As she wars with indecision over her medical diagnosis, Layni’s life falls apart until things take a major turn and she finds herself in another realm altogether—Fairy. She’s now faced with a life and death decision, magic, a prince with his own agenda, and only dreams to guide her.
Layni must learn that she’s worthy enough of real love, if she wants to save Fairy and repair the damage between her and the prince.
Did someone say Daddy?
A. James has a small town romance with an ex-boyfriend’s dad who might just fill that need! Grab it here.
I’m pretty in pink dipped in sunshine and sweet Southern smiles. He’s blue collar wrapped up in a gruff summer storm with a scowl. He also happens to be my ex-boyfriend’s dad.
Not only is Conway Levine grumpy, arrogant, and entirely too handsome for his own good, with the salt and pepper scruff lining his sharp jawline and his thick, corded arms, but he also had a front row seat fourteen years ago to a drunken night so mortifying I can’t look him in the eye without feeling the shame all over again.
Living in a small town makes avoiding him impossible, even more when you add in the fact that his daughter is friends with mine.
When a little tardiness and a whole lot of bad luck lands me partnering with him at our children’s school, I’m certain I won’t survive.
Before I know it, the dread from having to work with him turns into a burning desire impossible to ignore when his once stone cold demeanor shifts into longing, heated stares, and somehow, he knows all the right things to whisper in my ear to get under my skin… and my dress.
Between his filthy mouth and stifling need to devour me any chance he gets, the chemistry we share between the sheets quickly becomes something out of my wildest dreams.
Except Conway doesn’t do relationships, and I’m not built for casual.
But I couldn’t quit him even if I tried.
When all is said and done, will I be able to protect my already tattered heart or will it end up shattered into a million beautiful, messy pieces?
Move over cam girls, erotic voice actress coming in hot.
Katie Van Brunt’s recent release For The Show is a spicy twist on the fake marriage trope!

He needs a wife to silence his father. She needs a break from the spotlight.
Millie Greer thought she was destined for Broadway, until a cruel director crushed her dreams over a few extra pounds. Now, hiding from the stage that once defined her life, she’s found solace behind the microphone, recording for an erotic stories app.
Ezra Miller is a big-hearted middle school teacher, worn down by his father’s constant pressure and his own string of romantic misfortunes. When he’s met with an unexpected family member, Ezra’s only option is to find a “wife”—and fast. Who better to play the role than a trained actress?
What begins as a convenient arrangement quickly spirals as the line between make-believe and reality blurs. When hearts get tangled, Ezra and Millie must decide if their fake relationship is for the show—or if love might be the real deal after all.
Packed with laugh-out-loud humor, witty banter, and a whole lot of spice, For the Show is a heartwarming story about finding family, self-love, and realizing that sometimes, the best roles are the ones we never expected to play.
