I’m so excited to jump into Issue I with you. I have updates on When Sparks Fly, as well as some upcoming things that you will want to look out for.

When Sparks Fly: The Fallout Duet Book 1

When Sparks Fly, book one in The Fallout Duet, is on track to release on November 15th! That’s a Friday, so you will have all weekend to read your heart out. If you’re anything like my beta team, you are going to be falling for Maci and Sutton in no time.

These two are very special to me, partly because they are my first book couple and partly because their story has been in my mind for about ten years. Additionally, their world is the introduction to so many stories that are on the horizon. At least one, if not two, series will spin-off of this duet.

So what’s going on with When Sparks Fly? Earlier this month I received Beta feedback and it was immensely helpful! Over the last few weeks, I’ve been editing and polishing the manuscript to make it the best it can be. I spent my birthday this past weekend doing everything I love, which is to say spending time with my family and working on my debut and there was such satisfaction in that. This week it’s off to proofreading!

Advanced Reader Copies

ARC or Advanced Reader Copies, are books delivered to certain readers prior to release. The sole purpose of this is for readers to read the book and share honest reviews.

When Sparks Fly ARC e-books will be distributed in October. There is still plenty of time to apply, if you haven’t already. The Author Agency is handling ARC distribution as well as assisting with some teasers. If you want to help with that, you can sign up to do so through the ARC application, as well.

So what’s next?

If you’ve been wondering what the cover of When Sparks Fly will look like, you won’t have to wait much longer. The cover reveal will be mid October, but I’m going to give subscribers an early look!

Writing has already begun on Book 2, so more to come on that as well! The second book in Fallout Duet will be the completion of Maci and Sutton’s story. Title reveal coming!

The Sweetest Birthday Gift

My oldest has an absolute heart of gold. She made this very special coupon set for me for my birthday and then we had movie night and watched one of my all time favorite movies, Sweet Home Alabama.

Talk about swoonworthy! I’m not even a super fan of second chance romances, and I was inspired to write one!
