Happy New Year!
Hello lovely readers! I hope your new year has started off safe, happy, and healthy. Although if you’re anything like my household, and so many I’m hearing about, you may have brought some illness with you into the new year. Whoops!
Have you made plans for the year? I’m not one to make resolutions, exactly. Instead, I prefer to make goals and pick a word to carry with me through the year. I have a tendency to hyper focus on areas of my life, hello ADHD, so my goals this year are set so that I’m still achieving all that I want to, but hopefully without the massive pressure I tend to put on myself, or forgetting that laundry and dishes exist while I draft. One can dream, right?
The Fallout Duet
When the Smoke Clears is less than two months from release. I’m finishing up self-edits before sending it to my line editor. We are going through A LOT with Maci and Sutton in book two, but there are still so many sweet, swoony, and spicy moments to get wrapped up in! My alpha and beta teams have LOVED this book, maybe even more than book one, so I’m so excited to get it finished and out into the world.
If you loved When Sparks Fly and can’t wait for the conclusion of Maci and Sutton’s story, make sure to sign up for an ARC! These will be sent in February.

Are you familiar with author Alex La Bruyere? I came to know her through a queer feminine rage anthology she put together, that will benefit The Trevor Project. (More on that soon!)

Looking ahead…
A little secret for subscribers: I’ve commissioned the first art work for The Fallout Duet!! Because I love you so much, I’ll be sharing here first. So be on the lookout for a surprise email soon!
Another sneak peek you can count on soon is the cover reveal for When the Smoke Clears! I’m so excited to work with KBG Designs again, both for the cover and some additional swag.
I usually share big news here, but I happened to share some plans to social media first, in terms of what you can expect from me in 2025. Here’s a quick recap if you missed it!
 You can expect to see major crossover from The Fallout Duet into these books! They will be interconnected standalones, but if you love the cast, you’ll want to read them in order. |  I’m so excited to meet readers at events this year! I’m kicking off the year in Fairhope, Alabama at Page and Palette. Shortly after I’ll be in Pensacola, Florida at the Books by the Bay event, in the author signing tent. Time details to come! Later this year, I’ll be attending my first book convention! |
